Yes, I am a proud to be a woman.
I, Archana Gavhane based in Pune is fun loving, outgoing woman. I born in middle class family and value the morals and fundamentals I got from parents and legacy continues with my kids. I am blessed with 2 loving sons aged 20 and 17 and very much carrier supporting soul mate.

After completing my graduation in computer science from Pune University, I worked in IT industries for 14 years. But hunger for doing something different which I will enjoy from bottom of my heart helped me to start my new venture in HR named ‘Erudite Advisory Infosolutions’. Now I am working as HR Consultant across domains. HR Services in Fire & Security domain is my core strength. 14 years corporate experience is helping me in counselling Employees and Employers in process setup, skill development, workforce management, etc.   

I believe that it is an advantage to be a woman working in the security industry today. Security executives are actively promoting and recruiting women because they recognize the correlation between diversity and business success. However, we should accept the fact that more awareness and acceptance is required in male dominating industries. Even with the many opportunities for women in security, we remain underrepresented compared to our male counterparts.

One thing I learned from this industry is, ‘If you are innovative, there is ample of opportunity for you’. We should accept that women are more creative and has ability to think differently. They work very well in team environment. Women has bright future in Security industry. We need to promote opportunities and counsel girl students to be part of this industry.

Coming back to myself, I am an outgoing woman. So loves lot of socialization and sensitive about social responsibility. I am also working as ‘Secretory – Pune Chapter – Fire & Security Association of India (FSAI). We conduct lot of social awareness programs as Fire Safety & Security awareness, Women Self Defence, etc. Our aim is to educate each child and woman about fire safety and self defence which is the need of hour.

Being a fitness freak, I participate in different marathons and also volunteer in motivating people for exercise. Good practices begin at home. Hence, I and my family take care of health by doing regular group exercises, participating in marathon etc. I strongly believe we should return good values to society as society directly or indirectly always help you to grow as a successful personality. So, my next vision is to do events on women empowerment, Safety and fitness in society and many more...
